The United States has done good for Pakistani people by forcing Musharraf to allow political parties to contest election in the country. Now, the Us should give Pakistani government enough time to decide what steps are necessary for country's stability.

A suggestion to Bush and his team from a Pakistani citizen - Now, leave us alone and don't interfere in our domestic affairs. We will overcome all problems by own. the new government is ready to curtail power of your puppet - Musharraf.

Without the US, Pakistan cannot go even a single step forward. Its my suggestion to you Mayorga - Just don't overestimate your skill to run democratically elected government in your country because history says its not your cup of tea. When you are not ready to learn from India, the US is last option for you learn the basics of democracy.

President Musharraf used to call, when he was General Musharraf, himself a trained commando. For him, commandoes are meant to be brave enough to fight with every evil. But we known well that commando Musharraf fears America.

United States can't forget Musharraf's contribution in the war against Taliban In Afghanistan. When Yousaf Raza Gillani sworn in as new PM of Pakistan, Deputy Secretary of State John D Negroponte and Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairs, Richard A Boucher met Musharraf. It was an indication of continuous support to Musharraf.

Nawaz Sharif is sending signals to US that he can take different angle on Pakistan-US relation. He didn't like the meeting of US officials with Musharraf on the day of formation of new government in Pakistan. He said Pakistan won't become a killing field. Nawaz is taking right step. If America wants to kill terrorists, they can do it but they have no right to bomb villages in Pakistan.

@ Mubassir, you must have some valid points when criticizing Musharraf. What happened if Musharraf met with two American diplomats? Nawaz Sharif and Zsif Zardari also met US officials when the new government took charge in Pakistan. You should know it better that because of US interference in Pakistani politics, Yousuf Gillani has become PM in Pakistan.

Tough days are ahead for Gillani and his team in the country. Pakistan is facing financial crisis these days. History says Pakistan goes for a democratic change after every eight years of military rule. The new government will have to start from zero to disentangle the economic mess Musharraf government leaves behind it.

I still vote for Musharraf because he is the man who can control the rising threat of Islamic terrorism in Pakistan. Zardari and Nawaz Sharif are not capable to control the influence of Al-Qaeda and taliban in border areas. Musharraf has better equation with US administration also.
